The House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee on Security at Umunneochi has assured that the security concerns alongside other relevant issues affecting the people of Isikwuato/Umunneochi Local Government Areas will be given legislative attention for prompt intervention of governments at the state and Federal level.
This was made known by the Reps Ad-hoc Committee at a Town Hall Meeting with Relevant Stakeholders to Interface with Relevant Security Agencies to Reduce Kidnaping, Assassinations and Banditry in and around Isuikwuato and Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Committee Obi Aguocha, the member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal constituency noted that the essence of their visit borders on addressing the security concerns of the people for onward legislative action.

Reacting, an indigene of the area, a Medical Doctor Amaobi Ifeanyi Uwaezuoke called for the complete relocation of the Lokpanta cattle market from the present location in order to reduce crime rate in the axis.

Also contributing, the Methodist Bishop of Ummunneochi Diocese RT Reverend Iyke Tasie among other things called for job creation for the youths.

Recall that the Member representing Isikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber Hon. Amobi Ogah had upon assumption as a Rep Member moved a motion on the floor of the House for urgent attention to tackle the insecurity in his Federal constituency.

Jonas Okeke; Member representing Ehime Mbano/Ihitte Uboma/Obowo Federal Constituency of Imo State, Aba North/South Federal Constituency Representative Hon. Emeka Nnamani, Hon. Lucky Johnson; Member representing Isikwuato State Constituency, Representatives of different religious bodies, traditional Rulers, Heads of various security agencies amongst many others.
